Dr. Pepper Pancakes

I know it may sound bizzar to actually make pancakes with a soda pop. I was even hesitant at first to even want to make them but i just had to try it. I was amazed at how they came out. It was easy to do and the whole family loved them. The kids didn't even want to put syrup on them and said they taste like the McGriddle.

How it all began I was out camping with a bunch of Buddy's for a weekend and we were packing up our vehicles on A Sunday morning getting ready to go home.Well after a night of us men drinking and our wife's disgusted with us we decided we were all hungry . With everything packed up and ready to go we decided to have breakfast one last time at the camp site, With little food left to choose from, We had a box of complete pancake mix, some Dr. Pepper in the cooler, and more than plenty of beer left over. My Buddy said to me Hey I have an idea let's make pancakes I said OK but that's kind of hard to do without any water, I know pretty lame you go camping and you run out of drinking water but when you have children it happens, but anyways my buddy said we can use some Dr. Pepper in place of water. I kind of looked at him dumb founded and said are you still drunk? Then I thought to myself hmmm OK let's try it there was nothing to lose and hey we were all hungry.

My buddy made the pancakes and we all sat down to try his mad scientist experiment and to my surprise these pancakes were the best pancakes I ever had. So through my night of intoxication and a screaming wife as well as kids and not making sure we had enough water I wanted to share my adventure with you all to give you the secret and the birth of Dr. Pepper Pancakes.. Read the instructions on the back for how much mix and water you'll need for the number of pancakes you want.

Instead of water replace it with Dr.Pepper..( you can use other soda if you don't like Dr.Pepper)
